So.. in effect the BBC is not supposed/allowed to ASK certain QUESTIONS ??
OK – now let me ask some little questions:
How the Hell can New Media, News Papers and Reporters do their (very important) job if they’re supposed to “self censor” not to ask certain questions e.g. about LGBT education in schools ?
To be a LGBT citizen is perfectly legal in the U.K. – but to ask whether to go educate students in school about LGBT’s is a “forbidden subject” ? Isn’t that utterly hypocritical – and possibly even result in being sued for libel/slander (though I admit I know very little about the laws they got in the U.K.)

I knew they got no “First Amendment” in the U.K. – but even trying to prohibit to ask (very important) questions..? That’s beyond imagination..! Do they really think by silencing curious/critical/skeptical reporters/citizens the issue will no longer exist ? That’s like 4 years old children who think something scary will no longer exist if they close their eyes.. That’s nonsense, of course.

Imho absolutely every question should be allowed to ask – in public (i.e. on the news media) – no matter how controversial/provocative/blunt it may be.
Whether the one asking will get an answer is – of course – a different ball game. Because many questions cannot be answered. That is: not yet.

Yes, I really do like our (Wonderful) First Amendment – imho true Democracy and real Justice can’t possibly exist without “Freedom of Speech” and “Freedom of the Press”.1 Reply

if a person is questioning if other people should have rights, how is that actually a question? that is oppression. and doing rights wrong. at some point. people arrive at conclusions and questions are not always honest, especially when they are advancing wrongs. Lest We Forget.

you are in a queer group suggesting that we have to consider we should not have rights? how do you not hear what you are suggesting?

the other thing is that while people are entitled to have and share opinions, when they are not actually informed, then no matter the topic. the value of that opinion is zero. The Western Secular law is not about the letter of the law, nor about overblown arguments or technicalities or plea deals. it is about the intention and spirit of the law and rights in particular are meant to be expanded to more groups. otherwise, rights mean not a thing. and are merely systemic prejudice owing to public bigotry by claimed rite of religion. theocracy in secular democracy clothes and certainly not new rights invented for the groups that already have rights while others have none at all. that is special rights, not having existing rights also apply to a demographic and individuals who so identify. (and no, I am not nor ever was a lawyer. I was a legal secretary in a small firm.)

Like Ethnicities and Women and Gays, Lesbians and Bisexuals before them, Transgender people were included in rights and this is what rights being done wrong looks like. (notice how pale and straight the group photo looks. eh?)

all boots on the ground wear the same heel, and left or right

it does not matter when it’s on our collective neck. eh
