I meant to say yesterday when I read this, I thought you were very smart here, because we’re all guilty of co-opting. I do it quite a lot. I have begun to really think about what you say here, and realize that it can be so wrong to do that. We may think we have the handle on … whatever but until you really do you don’t. I get what you mean here, I wish this one would go national because people need to realize this and not enough is said about this but it’s a trend that has become wild since the internet.

the trick is to triangulate.. breaking the privilege cognitive dissonance is tricky.. people need to use their position to give others voice, not speak for them.

breaking privilege in how we communicate is near impossible but as you say, if you bring others in rather than think your voice alone can own the exclusive rights on something you’re co-opting. Yeah I agree
