The Supreme Court ruled against municipalities opening meetings with prayers so that is one layer – but Quebec provincial law is based in the Napoleonic code and not English common law like the RoC (Rest of Canada)
Federally our PM Harper passed laws that appear to make it not permissible under the law to say less than flattering things about Israel – and Quebec has it’s own charter of rights provincially that is following the France bans on overt religiousness…
Quebec is the most catholic of all the provinces and the one with the least restrictive pornography laws and the lowest marriage rates…..
