Dear Ms. Tryggvason:

Thank you for your continued correspondence regarding your concerns with groups distributing materials at transit stations.

As previously stated TransLink is obligated to balance passengers’ rights to safety, security and access to stations with the other rights found in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This includes the right for people to distribute non-commercial materials. To do so, TransLink has rules and regulations to make sure people distributing material do so in a way that does not interfere with passenger flow or safety.

Again, the next time you see a group distributing materials that is blocking passenger flow, please let an attendant – whether Transit Security or Transit Police – know.  The group will be moved to a more appropriate place.

In your correspondence, you requested TransLink’s mailing address, which is as follows:

TransLink
400 – 287 Nelson’s Court
New Westminster, BC  V3L 0E7

Thank you again for writing.

Sincerely,

I did that already and was ignored by your staff and by RCMP

and by this process of being blown off with internet lawyering and speaking points that do not resolve the matter, but extend it by telling me to put my person at risk of both conflict with policing authorities and further being ignored and told that I am the problem on the premises.
you give me no hope of service or assistance, just further public humiliation
my request was for your address for service for delivery of a BC Human rights complaint
because you are violating me and preventing me from access the service with dignity of person

Dear Translink

your continued delay in response is not acceptable
Provide your address for delivery of service for a BC Human Rights complaint.
You should also be aware that on March 20, 2017 my niece was mugged and assaulted on the skytrain platform
Your transit police did respond and the perps were arrested.
This strengthens my resolve to have Translink more aware of what is occurring in the stations and to ensure the widest possible access with safety and dignity of person.
