Election Day After Shock, eh?

My Mom and I went for a multi-destination outing.

The Gourmet Warehouse

Located in the heart of Vancouver, Gourmet Warehouse is your one-stop shop for cookware, kitchen utensils, bakeware, and so much more!

First stop – the Gourmet Warehouse – they’d had a write up in the major daily recently and all the featured items had already sold out, within hours of the story release.
It had been a while since I had been there and it seemed bigger and had a loft style second story.
Free Parking around back or on Hastings, in Canada’s poorest postal code downtown eastside.
I made a purchase of 2 bottles of my fave hot sauce – Cajun Sunshine – which has become oddly missing despite the Habenaro and Yuccatan versions remain on grocery store shelves.
My Mom bought some new kitchen gadgets.
Then, we had lunch at the Denman White Spot, one of the last remaining free to park locations anywhere in the downtown core.
Over to The Dispensary near St Paul’s Hospital, where I metre parked on Davie Street.
Last stop was a bit of a shocker – in fact, on Terminal Ave, I drove right passed the building.
I was stunned to see all the high end car lots.
I ended up down at the Home Depot and did the turn around under the bridge and came back – turned backed down terminal and the House of Brussells Chocolates Factory was now a public storage facility.
apparently it closed 12 years ago
so .. I gotta wonder… how out of date are the Phone books?
Anyway, the guy who operates the Storeage was kinda surprised to get chocolate traffic and did offer to help my mom find an other option online.
I vaugely recall that they had a store downtown in the Cathedral Building – it’s white with statues of Nurses on it, but that was an outlet boutique store…
Not wanting to return to downtown, we returned back on the freeway over the illegally tolled replacement Port Mann – the freeway lane stopped halfway back up the bridge because of an industrial truck with something on fire – the firetruck parked on the traffic going to Coquitlam, New West and to Vancouver beyond
Glad to be in the 152 surrey exit lane fer sure then eh.
My own internet search suggesting there’s still a location over to West Vancouver. I do not do the Lion’s Gate anymore than I will do Patullo.
Anyways, most people couldn’t seem to make eye contact and look at anyone, anything to not Talk About It.
