ElvisWorld: Natalie Wood

Natalie Wood and Elvis Presley

Their publicity date is best documented in these 2 books

Natalie, a Memoir by her Sister, Lana Wood and The Rebel and The King by Nick Adams.

It was supposed to be 2 weeks, but Natalie was bored in Memphis and she thought Elvis was a square and went home early.

I have not gotten my copy of Nick Adams’ book

But I did read the Lana Wood book’s commentary on the Elvis date.

It was only the one sentence, to the gist of  “Natalie wrote home to say she was returning early, Elvis was a square.”

Nick Adams remained friends with Elvis until February 1968, when Adams died, officially a suicide.

Natalie famously drowned – and if only she had take off her coat, she wouldn’t have become exhausted and drowned a meter off shore and inches from where her feet would have touched ground.

Plus, booze on a boat eh?

all in all, Elvis Presley died the way most who die at home, die. in the bathroom.

heavy sigh, eh?
