In the 1980s, BMG bought RCA and Europe began to organize the Elvis releases.

In this century, Sony owns BMG. Japan always had the best Elvis releases.


In the 1990s, the video Era – Elvis concerts and Trailers for Elvis movies were released as speciality videos – instead of creating a quality DVD release of his movie with trailer.

Elvis Product is all about the cheap and selling deluxe and expanded later.

Fans really do want an album of just every take of Hound Dog and all the tv and concert performances on 1 package.


Deluxe Sets for the 68 and 73 but not the 77 television specials. not officially.

VHS vs Beta – Elvis on both formats.

CDs, DVDs, Elvis was first to be pressed on new formats

it’s Elvis fans who have big influence over the market

and It’s second and third generation fans who want a better product. and authentic.


Elvis did do dramas and comedies, movies, star vehicles and B Movies.

In the 1960s Elvis movies were at the top of the bill the A movies with movie actors and by the end of the 60s, it was B movies with most tv actors

Funnily enough – Change of Habit is a edgy social commentary and Follow that Dream is a libertarian comedy.

In the 1950s magazines came with flexi-discs and now they get packaged with cds and dvds.
