The lesson of Harper Lee is that while people have a book in them, it is often the editor who makes it a novel.
Nina’s Rules of Writer-ing
- Writing is not talking about what you will write.
- Writing is for an audience, Journaling is for yourself.
- It’s better to be an unproduced writer than an unproductive one.
- When you write IT, it’s yours, when you sell IT, it’s theirs.
- To be sell-able, it can’t be about you, it must be about the audience.
- Understand the Demographics of your Audiences: Fan Core, Friends of Fans, General Punters, the Indifferent to the Hostile.
Stand your ground where you can and give when you have to, the Publisher is doing the business and get your own lawyer to read and deal with contracts.
Also – never allow your audience to confuse the writer with the characters, eh?
A writer has many stories in them and stories that they have not lived necessarily, after all, it is about the observation and the understanding of humanity on a larger scale.
Writers also read, eh? unique voice in a universal arena or a unique arena with a universal voice.
Love Harper

I wasn’t surprised, it was not a sequel, it was her book.
it was the editor cut it in half and made it a novel.
I was glad because it really busts the writer myth.
writers have more than 1 story and it’s never their own, at least, not exactly, eh?
