March 18, 2016.
I had a double outing this morning – once to take the Parentals on a Mallwalk, I managed 2 laps, then back home for a rest and a breakfast, before taking my Mom to a doctor’s appointment, 1 stop at my aunt/her younger sister’s house, then to the Esso station on the Surrey side of the Patullo Bridge.
I hate driving over this bridge, it’s the first one I ever saw a car accident, a flipped over and half over the railing. We drove past it and I was 8 years old and in the back seat.
Anyway, that was then and this is now, eh!
I saw the same window cleaning product and today there was a double team a male and a female.
I was gassing up the car and when she sashayed into my line of vision, I checked her out, then I waved her off with my hand and spoke in a clear firm voice “Not interested in whatever you are calling your salespitch.”
Young pretty slender curvey girls are not used to be so utterly blown off and their sales training teaches them to shift and twist, the upsale, no-pressure, just info or a service.
now, this is where most Canadians will completely cave – because being constantly sold all freaking day long wears you down, you battle monsters and lose to the bugs.
She began to pout – (female behavioural protocols to twist men and focusses eyes on boobs, also works on butcher lesbians. Femmes are Fatales for reasons of their dimensions makes you loose your freaking mind)
I quarter turned again to watch her in profile and not listen to a word she said, as I said in the same clear level voice “You say words of no meaningful nuance.”
Her retort of “just doing her job.” was lost to the sound of the gas pumper gun dropping back into it’s holster….
I just got back into the SUV or “People Carrier” as they say on Coronation Street. A show I had to stop watching many years ago because I couldn’t understand a lot of what the characters said.
Canadians do not like to say no, but we especially don’t like to have to repeat it.
Anyway, I have a hard time speaking, but I have spent so much time in communication classes or workshops, that I mostly just recite lines from memory from those manuals.

Canada, British Columbia Vancouver – Davie and Denman, the Gay District, is the commerical downtown’s Gay Village, while on the east side of the city Commerical Drive, formerly Little Italy, has been Dykecouver since the 1990s. Meanwhile…in America eh?
