ElvisWorld: Tribute Artists vs Impersonators

Alan Meyer was professionally performing an Elvis tribute act, before Elvis Presley died.


After Elvis died, Alan became known as the First Impersonator and was deemed the best of a sudden bunch of them. Not wanting to be an impersonator, there became the Impersonator vs Elvis Tribute Act.

Sort of like Female Impersonators vs Drag Queens…..now there’s Drag Kings and usually there’s Elvis impersonating…..

Anyway, Alan Meyer has died in 2015.

David Scott impersonated Elvis and even played him on the big screen in This Is Elvis. David Scott died on January 5, 1993 in Montréal – and began the myth that all the Elvis actors had been doomed.
