Only the Shittiest Pretend Systemic and Ethnic Oppression Doesn’t Exist

“It’s obviously a crime of hate. Again, we don’t know the rationale, but what other rationale could there be?”

Santorum pretends he doesn’t know racism exists in order to twist christian on christian violence? How can he position himself as a defend Black People against their white oppressors?  Why pretending they are “christians” and the shooter is “anti-religion”

keep praying and see how that works out for you, meanwhile this continues to demonstrate that “equal but different” doesn’t work.

Stephanie Kountouros Religion is primarily philosophical, at least in origin. That it has become a bastion of logic-less, emotional posturing, particularly on the part of fundamentalists of all stripes, has nothing to do with the likes of Plato, Aquinas, Buddha, Maimonides, and the like.

Nina K Tryggvason I think spirituality is what you described Steph. being focused on being your best and inspiring the best around you

religion is more focused on ritual, hierarchy and sheer numbers of conformity, without any consideration to the damage of their impacts.
karmic centric rather than rules obedience makes more sense to me, especially given the caliber of most of their rules and inability to manage rule conflict.

Stephanie Kountouros Nope. I’m describing religion. Attempting to understand meaning is the prime generation of original religion. Hierarchy and conformity were ills that overtook original and indigenous religion, particularly with the increased advent of patriarchy.

      Nina K Tryggvason okay.
