An Open Letter to America

You are no longer the world’s leader champion of human rights.

In fact, you never were – you trumped rights for some on your soil at the expense of everyone else on the planet – just look at your consumption/pollution rate to global population percentage, eh?

In any case – marriage equality and actually allowing people to have dignity and telling others that they are not allowed to reduce other people’s status and value – shows how much you have to catch up to the rest of the world’s leading equality countries.

this is the harm that religion does, it makes people think they are better than others and creates an entitlement of being judge jury and executioner

they act like marriage equality hasn’t happen in other countries

were – all that happened was – people got married. hets did not divorce or get married at lower rates
