It has been estimated that Elvis Presley bought 200 Cadillacs, mostly as gifts to friends and dramatically often strangers.

Elvis was a total gearhead and enjoyed a wide variety of vehicles in his real life and reel one.

Vernon and Gladys Presley – the American Dream – from a two room shack in Tupelo, Mississippi – up through rooming houses in Memphis to Government Assisted low income housing to home ownership.
Audobon Drive in Memphis was still an upper class neighbourhood in 1987 when I sat outside the house; imagining what it was like for the Presleys to have a house with with own private living space and bedrooms. Two cars in the driveway and a flashy motorbike.
Gladys would have been happy for Elvis to stop, get married and set himself up in some sort of business.

He did not keep it long, it took too long for parts – a year – since they are not factory assembly line interchangeable….
The draw back of extreme precision engineering, eh? Quality or Quantity.
in the 70s, Elvis was the first to own one of these; after convincing the sales manager that him driving one would sell more than the car guy driving it around.

 but no matter what Elvis drove  the car brand that he is most identified with is the Cadillac.
He owned many of them, from the Pink One to the Gold One that toured Australia instead of Elvis in 1968:
