RockWorld: Leningrad Cowboys

Back in the 90s, I saw an art house film from Finland called Leningrad Cowboys Go America

I enjoyed the film’s use of silent movie intertitles and most of the story telling was visual so subtitles weren’t much of an issue.

Rock n roll is a universal language

So today goofing around, I came across this:

so really, it wasn’t a fictional tribute to Elvis, it was a real band’s version of Hard Day’s Night and their tribute to Elvis.

funny, in the 50s, the McCarthisth claimed Elvis as a communist plot to destroy the youth of America – which is funny since he was just personifying the American Dream of rags to riches.

While the communist nations claimed him as an American plot to corrupt the world.

There are more statues of Elvis than any other person all around the world. He didn’t even tour the world, except for 3 concerts in Canada.
