Lessons to be Re-Learned from Heenan Blaikie

How the Heenan Blaikie law firm collapsed

With last year’s profits at $75 Million, it’s a bit of a mindshock for the firm to fail.

But, like any system where it was based on the force of one person’s personality, it was inevitable.

You cannot create a legacy when you fail to cultivate leadership potential in one’s wake.

This is the same problem faced by political parties.

When leaders prevent the development of heirs to avoid the Jean Chretien/Paul Martin shadow the leader situation at the other extreme.

Certainly, the lack of dynamic, effective and working teams within political parties contributes to the voter apathy and overall sense of hopelessness towards change.
